Wladyslaw Winiecki is a member of the International Judging Panel IMPRINT' 2008.
Presentation of the artwork by professor Wlładysław Winiecki, one of the outstanding Polish printmakers. The show includes prints from a period between 1968 and 1973, such as the "Ambassadors' Secrets" series.
Wladyslaw Winiecki (1941-2008), studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw (1960-1966; under J. Pakulski, among others), where, in 1977, he started teaching. Since 2001, he has been a Professor of the Studio of Lithography, Faculty of Graphic Arts. He won a Gold Medal at the International Biennial of Contemporary Painting at Montecatini Terme, Italy, 1969.
Since 1967, he has many times won the Warsaw competitions for the "Best Print of the Month" and the "Best Print of the Year" (First Prizes in 1973, 1975 and 1976). In 1978, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the 7th International Print Biennial, Cracow. His art practice incorporates printmaking (chiefly lithography) and painting.
