An album entitled "Interpretations : Printmaking Traditions of Warsaw"

Interpretations has been published in connection with the exhibition Interpretations: Warsaw Printmaking Traditions, organized by the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw together with the National Museum at the Krolikarnia Gallery in December 2007 within the framework of the Kulisiewicz International Graphic Arts Triennial IMPRINT '2008.

With text in Polish and English and a wealth of illustrations, the book presents the history of International Exhibitions of Wood Engraving (Agnieszka Chmielewska, International Exhibitions of Wood Engraving in 1930s Warsaw), the milieu of Warsaw printmaking (Anna Grochala, Warsaw Printmaking Traditions), and the present and future of printmaking (Anna Zakiewicz, Contemporary Printmaking Prospects). It moreover includes profiles of 30 outstanding printmakers associated with the Warsaw Academy in the hundred years of its history, including Wladysław Skoczylas, Edmund Bartlomiejczyk, Wiktor Podoski, Tadeusz Cieslewski junior, Stanisław Ostoja Chrostowski, Tadeusz Kulisiewicz, Halina Chrostowska, Jozef Pakulski, Andrzej Rudzinski, Janusz Przybylski, Jan Tarasin and Wladyslaw Winiecki. A representative selection of their works (180 prints from the collection of the National Museum, Warsaw) makes up an attractive album. The book has been designed by Marcin Wladyka.
