KULISIEWICZ GRANTS

Grants 2008

On 5 June 2008 the Tadeusz Kulisiewicz Foundation Board selected, from among
works and authors coming from art schools, the winners of the scholarship and
a grant for 2007/2008. Nine academic centres in Poland recommended eighteen
young artists, who presented 50 drawings and prints, and the winners of this year’s
edition of the competition are:

for prints made with the technique of "corundum aquatint":

IMPRINT - Agnieszka Lech-Binczycka

Mrs. Agnieszka Lech-Binczycka, recommended by Professor Wlodzimierz Kotkowski, Head of the Department of Printmaking, Faculty of Art, Rzeszów University, is a fifth-year student. Her studio work and her artwork are in the figurative convention, and her works are strongly expressive and marked with her personal vision. The expression that can be achieved with "corundum aquatint" (a new etching technique, developed at the Studio of Intaglio Printing, Faculty of Art, Rzeszow University) has become a significant means of expression in her prints.

IMPRINT - Blazej Ostoja-Lniski

Mr. Blazej Ostoja-Lniski, recommended by Professor Wladyslaw Winiecki, Department of Printmaking, Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, is an assistant in Professor W. Winiecki’s Studio of Lithography.
