Paul Coldwell

(b. 1952) Professor of Fine Art at the University of the Arts London, a position he has held since 2001. He has taught in many colleges both in UK including as visiting Professor at the University of Northampton (2006-09) and was Visiting Professor at the Chinese University Hong Kong and Guest Artist at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010. As an artist, his practice includes prints, book works, sculptures and installations. He has exhibited widely, his work included in numerous public collections, including Tate, V&A, British Museum, the Arts Council of England and Yale Centre for British Art. He has published writings on a number of artists including Michael Craig-Martin, Giorgio Morandi and Paula Rego. In addition he has contributed to many publications including Print Quarterly, Printmaking Today, Imprint and Tate. His current book Printmaking; A Contemporary Perspective was published by Black Dog Publishing in 2010. In 2009 he was appointed to the editorial board of Print Quarterly.

Ewa Gorządek

(b. 1957) MA in Art History (studies at the Institute of Art History, University of Warsaw). Curator of many solo and group exhibitions presenting the work of contemporary Polish and foreign artists. Art critic (Obieg, Magazyn Sztuki, Exit), author of texts in exhibition catalogues and biographical notes in the Dictionary of Polish Painters. She works as Curator of Polish Exhibitions Programme at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw.

Paweł Nowak

(b. 1965) Professor of Fine Art; he paints and creates installations. He was a student at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, 1985-1990. Since 1989, he has been working at the Warsaw Academy, now directing a studio of painting at the Faculty of Graphic Arts; since 2009, Deputy Rector for art, research and external relations. He ran the Aspekt Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, 2002-2008. He has had about forty individual exhibitions and took part in almost a hundred group exhibitions as well as in a number of symposia and art workshops, nationally and internationally.

Modhir Ahmed

(b. 1956) graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad in 1979 and continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He produced paintings, prints and drawings, which he exhibited regularly. In 1980, he moved to Sweden where he painted with a new optimism and energy. He took part in important international art exhibitions and competitions and this time, as an Iraqi-Swedish artist winning prestigious awards. His celebrated artwork is an integration of geometry, gesture, and figures that are deliberately crude and childlike. They imply a spontaneous and instantaneous event – a result of deployed innovative techniques in a sustained and consistent evolution. His prints, paintings and drawings has been cited with numerous awards. His fine art pieces hang in museums in Europe and private collections of art connoisseurs and business leaders in Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Modhir Ahmed lives in Falun, Sweden and has been working as director of Falu Konstgrafiska Verkstad since 1992.

Vladimir Tsesler

(b. 1951) Belarussian graphic designer; his art practice includes poster design, painting, and he makes objects. From 1975 to 1980, he studied at the Faculty of Design, Academy of Arts in Minsk. After graduation he designed art books, many of his works have been awarded prizes, and he also worked in advertising. His first poster, co-authored with Sergei Voichenko, was for the Pesniary band in 1979.

Jiang Lu

(b. 1951) graduated from the Printmaking Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1976, and employed as teacher after his graduation. He further studied at the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts, 1980, and the Graduate School of Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium, 1992. Now he is the President and professor of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Member of the Board of Chinese Artists Association, Director of the Printmaking Art Commission of Chinese Artists Association, and Vice Chairperson of Tianjin Artists Association. He has been member of jury at a number of fine arts competitions and printmaking competitions. His works are held in numerous public collections, including Gallery of China, Gallery of Taiwan, Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium, Gallery of Shang Hai, Gallery of Jiangsu Province, Gallery of Si Chuan Province, Gallery of Guang Dong Province, Gallery of Hei Longjiang Province, Gallery of Gui Yang and Gallery of Zhe Jiang Province.
